We created Villa Cotton with a specific vision: the dream of bringing comfort and originality to every home for an accessible price. And if home is where the heart is, then the bedroom is the heart of the home. It’s where we spend a third of our lives, and where we dream of the bright and brilliant future. Villa Cotton's story started from our daily habits.</p><p>That’s why we decided to focus on bedding, so you can begin and end your day with beauty.</p><p><img src="https://villacotton.com/cdn/shop/files/our-story__img-1_900x.jpg?v=8996960705650842342" alt="Vision" /></p><p><strong>La Dolce Vita</strong></p><p>This vision of an artful life was directly inspired by the Italian philosophy of la dolce vita, which means ‘the sweet life.’ The gentle simplicity of finding bliss in daily life through art, beauty, good food, and good company is a lost craft in the modern hustle and bustle, but it’s something we feel strongly that everyone should be able to experience. We have built our brand around the mission of bringing every customer a taste of that sweet life.</p><p><img src="https://villacotton.com/cdn/shop/files/our-story__img-2_900x.jpg?v=15517313844184636491" alt="Italian Designed" /></p><p><strong>Italian Designed</strong></p><p>The Italian dolce vita is not just about art and color: there is a certain deep authenticity and grounding to it. We wanted our bedding to exude every aspect of that, so we went looking for our designs in Como, Italy. Como is known for its designs, but it remains a small town and has the slow, sweet feel of an Italian village. There, we found a small workshop where the artists hand-paint all the designs. Their passion and skill immediately attracted us, and we are proud to showcase their magnificent work on our products.</p><p><img src="https://villacotton.com/cdn/shop/files/our-story__img-3_900x.jpg?v=16408666188552350607" alt="Lasting Quality" /></p><p><strong>Lasting Quality</strong></p><p>There’s no benefit in beautiful things that wear out too quickly. After all, a home - whether or not a traditional building or just a place you call yours for a time - is best when it has a sense of permanence and comfort. That’s why we wanted to make sure that our bedding was of a quality that would last through many washings. We guarantee our quality in a variety of ways, from digital print technology to high quality cotton, as well as OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certifications for all our products.</p><p>We create this quality for the sake of our customers, but we were proud that our efforts were recognized in 2021 by the Sleep Foundation, when our bedding was awarded Best Cotton in the category “Best Duvet Covers of 2021,” and Most Soft in the category “Best Comforters of 2021.”</p><p><img src="https://villacotton.com/cdn/shop/files/our-story__img-4_900x.jpg?v=13712715891474038406" alt="Social Responsibility" /></p><p><strong>Social Responsibility</strong></p><p>While our home is a small bubble we create for ourselves, it is impossible to have a true “dolce vita” without strong communities and a generous spirit. Art, food, and beauty - these are all things meant to be shared and experienced by everyone, not just a privileged few. That’s why we make sure to give back and share our profits with a few carefully chosen charities to help make our world a better place.
